     This page of my Language Portfolio lists all of the coursework I have completed in pursuit of my degree. All coursework is grouped by field, degree requirement, and interest rather than by only chronological order. A class may be listed more than once due to requirement overlap.

Introduced the foundational elements of the Japanese language, including hiragana, katakana, basic kanji, core grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Developed early skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, with introductory exposure to cultural context through guided exercises.

Built on beginner-level skills with increased focus on speaking and listening. Introduced more complex grammar patterns and early use of formal and polite language in structured communication settings.
